Good company, great BBQ, and a room full of connections! 🔥

Thank you to Dead River Company in Newcastle for hosting last evening’s Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours. It was a wonderful turnout, plenty of delicious food, and a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones.

🎃 372.5 POUNDS OF PUMPKIN. A WHOLE LOT OF MAINE. 🎃

We were delighted to sponsor a giant pumpkin for the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta, and we had the pleasure of having ours decorated by local artist Kathleen Latimer, with the pumpkin grown by Holmes Brothers. Thank you both for being part of the fun!

And a huge thank-you to all the volunteers who make this one-of-a-kind festival happen year after year. From giant pumpkins lining Main Street to the grand finale of hollowed-out pumpkin boats racing across the water, this festival is pure Maine magic. 🍂

Where else can you hear “Ready, set, get wet!” followed by a Downeast-accented play-by-play of giant pumpkins attempting to become seaworthy vessels? 😂

This year’s winning festival pumpkin tipped the scales at more than 1,800 pounds. Ours may not have been the biggest, but we had a pretty gourd time!

With family and friends here for a wonderfully fun weekend, we were reminded why this festival keeps drawing bigger crowds: it’s community, creativity, fall foliage, and all the Maine feels rolled into one.

Damariscotta, you sure know how to grow a good time. 🎃🍁
