Foreclosure on Acreage with a Pond.

This property just crossed my desk. It is listed with a residential agent on the little Petoskey MLS so I would never have seen it if I was actually looking for it! This is a Fannie Mae foreclosure. It is in rough shape but appears that it may have a good solid base. There has been water damage it appears and it looks like that damage came from a bad roof. Frankly the place doesn’t look like it was ever updated from the 70s so the water damage may have been helpful. The house is big. The agent has it at 3300 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 car garage. The agent also says 30 acres but what I’m seeing says 16. And I trust my sources a little better. There is a large pond, acre to 1.5 acre. UP-2 trail is basically right across the road and it is state land between the house and the trail. This is a really easy commute to Bessemer or Wakefield. Gogebic Community College owns 80 acres immediately to the west. I don’t know if that is open to hunting. This is probably a house not a cabin and would take a lot of work but if structurally solid this is a big house that just needs the interior redone based on pictures. Might be worth looking into. I’m constantly asked for foreclosures on acreage. Here you go. $285k

This cabin has been updated over the years. Some of the updates are a little unique but all seem to have been done well. Certain bits of the cabin still show their original construction.
