📍Forsyth County homeowners; don’t miss this!!! HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2026

If you purchased a primary home in 2025 and owned it as of January 1, you must file for your Homestead Exemption by April 1 to receive your 2026 property tax savings.

You May Need to Refile If:

• Name change (marriage/divorce)
• Added someone to the deed
• Removed someone from the deed
• Ownership changed
• Spelling correction on deed

Generally, if your deed changes; refile.

This small step can save you money every year.

Visit the Forsyth County Tax Assessor’s website to apply.
