Yall, that long-term value game!! Outside of the 2007–2011 financial crisis, U.S. home values have gone up almost every single year for the last 70 years. Not exactly a fluke.

And yet somehow the narrative is always panic.

Here’s the part people love to ignore: leverage. A 10% gain on a $500K home? That’s $50K in equity on a $100K down payment. Show me another asset doing that this consistently.

The data tells a different story than what you’re seeing in your feed.

A recent CNBC study said buyers are most worried about three things right now: rates, inventory, and prices.

But honestly… the headlines are louder than the reality.

Rates aren’t expected to drop dramatically — projections are hovering in the low 6s, and we’re already in a better spot than we were this time last year.

Inventory is up, yes. But we’re still about 14% below pre-pandemic levels. More options for buyers isn’t a red flag — it’s balance.

And prices? They’re not crashing. Most markets are still appreciating, and even the few seeing small dips haven’t come close to erasing the gains from the last five years.
