My buyers Nelda Glaze and Chris Hash had a successful "social distancing" closing yesterday! Congratulations on their purchase of a beautiful new construction Lennar townhome in the Lanier Park community in Sugar Hill. I was not allowed in the closing so I waited outside for my paperwork and our closing photos.

Nelda is a school teacher with GCPS at Lilburn Elementary School and is participating in my Homes For Teachers program. She receives some great benefits through the program which includes a $1,000 discount on her closing costs and a donation to her school.

Congratulations to Jessica Younghouse, the Forsyth County Schools Teacher of the Year award winner! Jessica is a teacher at North Forsyth High School in Cu***ng and was one of seven finalists for the honor. Today I had the pleasure of attending the luncheon celebration honoring all of the individual schools' teachers of the year.

Since 2016 I have been a business partner with Forsyth County Schools providing them with the benefits of my Homes For Teachers program. It was a pleasure to give Jessica a $50 gift card to a great restaurant of her choice. Congratulations Jessica!

The Homes For Teachers program has been helping FCS teachers become home owners since 2016 and providing them with savings on closing costs. Gordon Stephenson, a realtor with Virtual Properties Realty, started the program as a way to give back to the community to help teachers and their schools. At closing Gordon and his business partners provide teachers with up to $1,800 in closing cost discounts, and after the closing a $200 donation is made to their school.
