Couldn’t resist one more from our own Roswell Fire Department 😂

Roswell Fire Department is proud to introduce our newest apparatus – H.E.R.O.
Horse Emergency Response Only.

Fuel costs what it costs. We innovated.

He requires no diesel. No DEF fluid. No emissions testing. No pump repairs. He has never submitted a maintenance request, which already puts him ahead of three of our current rigs. He has also never called out sick. We are not naming names.

He arrived fully equipped. We did not do that. He just showed up like that. We are choosing to see it as initiative.

His name is Diesel. We did not plan that. We are all still processing it.

Diesel reports for duty April 1st. He is ready. We are less sure.

Roswell Fire Department. Always Ready. Stable Operations.

Funny but sensible reminders from our Roswell Police Dept!

Find that ice scraper folks...we’re officially upgrading the Snowmageddon Threat Level to ORANGE. While we're still a few days out from the main event, now is a good time for a helpful refresher on the differences between panic and preparedness.

PANIC: Shoving someone’s grandma to the floor so you can grab the last seven gallons of milk.
PREPAREDNESS: Purchasing moderate supplies and ensuring you have a manual can opener on hand to deploy an emergency Campbell's Chunky.

PANIC: Buying enough batteries to power a small Canadian village through 2028.
PREPAREDNESS: Checking your flashlights and making sure your portable power bank is charged and ready.

PANIC: Sitting enthroned upon a mountain of toilet paper, frantically calculating if 18 "Super Mega" rolls really are equivalent to 94 "regular" rolls, and if that will be enough for a 36 hour storm.
PREPAREDNESS: Having some toilet paper on hand.

PANIC: Clearing out the entire frozen pizza aisle because "the end is nigh."
PREPAREDNESS: Okay maybe do this one. Those Screamin’ Sicilian ones are delicious. BOGO at Kroger!

PANIC: Taking your white Escalade to the one safe place you know: THE INTERSTATE.
PREPAREDNESS: Staying home and watching the winter weather from the comfort of your couch.

Bottom line: don't panic. We've made it through these storms before, and we'll do it again. Your City of Roswell, Georgia Government team and first responders at the Roswell Police Department and Roswell Fire Department are ready to handle business, as always.
