This 3 bedroom 2 bath energy efficient home is 1,152 sq. ft., smoke free and well-maintained. It boasts an airy, open floor plan, open beam - vaulted ceilings, and textured walls in the kitchen, laundry,, living and dining rooms. Light fixtures are upgraded.
The living room and dining room has laminate flooring as does the master bedroom which also has a lighted, walk in closet. The other two bedrooms are carpeted in neutral-colored berber. Kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms are floored in vinyl. All windows are double paned and, with the exception of both baths and kitchen, have mini blinds. All windows are screened and front door has a Larson storm door with a retractable screen.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, new, electric range, new dishwasher and new garbage disposal. It now has beautiful, white subway tile and oak accents. There is also a laundry room.
The master bathroom, with vinyl flooring, is equipped with a lovely garden tub/shower combination and has a new, Carrera marble-look tile surround. Located 3 miles from downtown Alturas on 2 ½ treed acres, it’s close to town yet removed enough for quiet enjoyment. You’ll see a welcoming graveled, circular drive. The parcel fronts Pheasant Drive and Pencil Road, a County maintained road. There is a community recreation area about a mile away with picnic and lake access for subdivision resident’s use. The school bus stops at the corner of Pencil and Pheasant which can be monitored from the home. There are community mail boxes just across the road (on Pencil).
The home is leased annually at $850 per month with a $1200 security deposit. The security deposit is refundable if the home is returned in a clean, undamaged condition matching that at the inception of the tenancy.
Pets are considered on an individual basis and with a pet application and photo. Acceptance is dependent upon type of pet and references. An additional monthly rental of $20 per month per pet and a deposit of $300 per pet is required as well as an agreement to have the carpets professionally cleaned at termination of tenancy (about $100 in cost). This is to insure a clean, sanitary environment for the next tenant.
The credit and background check service I use, Tenant Screening Credit, Inc., charges $38.50 per applicant which is non-refundable. All adult occupants must be on the lease and therefore, must agree to and pay for a credit and background check. Completed credit reports are available to applicants on request.
