🚨 Your property taxes called… and they’re asking for a little too much this year. šŸ˜…

If you own a home, this is your reminder to check your property value and protest it if it feels too high. The deadline to file your Notice of Protest is May 15th!

If you’ve never protested before, don’t let that stop you. A LOT of homeowners skip it simply because the process feels intimidating… but it’s honestly more doable than people think.

This year, I’m helping by:
šŸ  Pulling nearby sales and market comparisons
šŸ“ž Offering quick online calls to walk you through the process
šŸ“ Helping people understand what information is actually useful

Things first time protestors should know:
āœ”ļø You can usually file online in just a few minutes
āœ”ļø The goal is to show evidence that supports a lower value
āœ”ļø Evidence matters more than emotions
āœ”ļø Many people receive reductions every year

I promise you are not the only one confused by the paperwork!

If you’d like help, fill out the form or grab a spot on my calendar and I’ll help point you in the right direction. šŸ™Œ

And if you know a first time homeowner, send this to them because nobody explains this stuff when you buy a house 😭

You know those things you mean to look into… and then suddenly the deadline passed? 😯

Same… especially when it comes to what’s happening locally.

So I started sending a monthly Alvin update email that covers:
• The ā€œdon’t forget thisā€ stuff (May - voting + tax deadlines)
• What’s happening around town
• Growth, construction, and new businesses coming in

Basically… the things you didn’t know you needed to know.

If you want it, you can sign up below šŸ‘‡

Have you ever felt like you’re out on an island… trying to keep everything afloat… quietly wondering if you’re actually moving forward or just treading water?

That was me.

I loved having my own brokerage. Building something from the ground up, creating the name, the brand, the vision… it meant a lot to me.

But deep down, I knew something wasn’t clicking. I wasn’t growing the way I wanted to.

Then one random day, I walk into 1820 Coffee House and run into Ozzie Ramirez.

We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so we started catching up. And it took me back to years ago when I was thinking about leaving my very first brokerage.

Ozzie had reached out back then, and I told him no.

But here’s what stuck with me… even after I turned him down, he still invited me to a real estate event he was putting together.

No pressure. No strings. Just an open door.

That stayed with me.

So sitting there in that coffee shop years later, catching up again… it felt like one of those little God winks, pointing me in a direction I maybe wasn’t fully seeing yet.

Fast forward to now, and I’ve stepped into a new season as an associated broker with AEA Realty.

And if you’ve worked with me before or plan to… nothing about that experience changes. It’s still me. If anything, it’s just gotten better.

In just a few days, what I’ve already found is this…

You’re never too experienced to learn something new.
You’re never too established to grow more.

On my very first day in a class, there were veteran agents and newer agents all teaching each other different things. No ego, just growth.

And that confirmed it for me.

Sometimes strength looks like building something on your own.
And sometimes it looks like choosing not to do it alone anymore.

Sometimes God doesn’t shout.
Sometimes He just lines things up… and waits for you to notice šŸ¤

Note to self: always bring stickers.

Yesterday was my first time having a booth at the Northern Brazoria County Chamber of Commerce Business & Restaurant Showcase and it was such a fun experience!

We had a home goods basket giveaway, 🧺 brownies from the amazing Sensational Sweets by Shell, and so many great conversations throughout the evening

I also got to be part of the behind the scenes setup with our Chamber Ambassadors, and that crew truly makes this event happen. So much heart goes into pulling it all together.

Huge shoutout to my assistant Penny for being there the entire time helping me keep everything running smoothly… even though she dodged every. single. picture. šŸ˜‚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, entered the raffle and hung out for a bit. It was truly one of those ā€œthis is why I love what I doā€ kind of days 🧔

Behind every smooth transaction and every organized day… there’s a team making it happen šŸ¤

Penny (and her dog Bo) help keep everything in order and running day-to-day, and Katie Anderson - End Line Transactions ensures every transaction stays on track with timelines and paperwork handled the right way.

Their work may be behind the scenes, but the impact is felt in every client experience.

I’m so thankful for you both! Happy Administrative Professionals' Day! šŸ’•

Tired of maintaining a property he wasn't sure what to do with.

Fix it up or sell it as-is? That was the question.

My job isn't to tell you what to do — it's to make sure you understand your options so YOU can make the best decision. šŸ™Œ

He made his. We got 3 offers, chose the best one, and got to the closing table.

That weight he'd been carrying? Gone. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ™Œ

Sitting on a property you're not sure what to do with? Let's talk.
