Amarillo Association of REALTORS® Names Trystan Franks as Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors of the Amarillo Association of REALTORS® (AAR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Trystan Franks as Chief Executive Officer.

Franks brings four years of service with the AAR to the permanent role, having served as the organization's Interim Chief Executive Officer since May 2026 and as Governmental Affairs Director since August 2022.

In this capacity, Franks leads day-to-day operations and provides strategic direction for the trade association, representing more than 1,000 REALTOR® members.

During his tenure as Interim CEO, he oversaw budget development, organizational administration, staff workflow, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with the Board of Directors and volunteer leadership.

Key Qualifications & Experience -

Executive & Operational Leadership: Managed daily operations, strategic planning, policy implementation, and organizational priorities during periods of executive transition.
Governmental Affairs & Advocacy:
Directed legislative advocacy, government affairs initiatives, and relationship building with elected officials, community partners, and industry stakeholders.
Member Engagement & Operations: Spearheaded member communications via social media and email marketing, organized educational programs, and led fundraising events.
Governance & Administration:
Enhanced board agendas, minutes, and governance documents while maintaining consistent alignment between staff, leadership, and membership.

Franks, a Panhandle native, was born and raised in White Deer, TX, graduated from WDHS, and has additional education in Business Sciences, along with an extensive knowledge of governmental affairs and advocacy.
