The Amarillo and Canyon area has suffered great losses over the last couple weeks with devastating wildfires. We personally have friends affected by these disasters and our hearts hurt for so many who have lost everything. Our Airbnb has joined with Airbnb.org to offer a place to stay at a discounted rate for displaced families, with pets as well. Airbnb.org donates the service fees to airbnb.com for further discounts.

Our Airbnb was already booked for some nights through June, so full month's stay cannot start until July, but we are open for several nights in June as well.

Before-and-after photos of the den/main living room in our 1910 Historic Amarillo Airbnb!

This is the room that we probably spent most of our time as it was also our homeschool room. My in-laws added this room onto the house in the late 90s and was a huge plus for added space, a large gathering area that we could all be in at one time. The walls were painted tan before we moved in, but we painted over the green ceiling, and replaced the heating and air unit. The skylights and windows make this room bright and fun. This is a large room that holds a sectional couch with plenty of room leftover. The built-ins originally designed to look like fencing have not been updated, maybe one day. But they were very useful for holding so many of our homeschool books!
