These kids of mine just bought their first house! DESPITE high interest rates and lower inventory. We kept watch on homes for quite awhile and went into backup position when they didn’t want to offer over asking price on an original brick rambler in Bountiful. The 105 year old owner was super motivated to make the terms right for these very patient and well deserving buyers!

In time for Christmas and in time for BABY! Edge Homes delivers big time with price and ahead of schedule. Kenzie and Bowen are among the few buyers who stayed in a new build deal when havoc with interest rates hit mid-build. They bought down their interest rate and Edge kicked in valuable benefits. Jack Andrews is a stellar agent with Edge, who was aggressive in advocating for the Smiths. I couldn’t be happier for these well deserving friends!!

Zach and McKenna’s search began before interest rate hikes and the start of a shift in the market . . . They were prepared with extra cash above appraisal, making earnest money hard at acceptance and all the other tools we have used to get offers accepted. All of the sudden things changed, and builders started reducing prices. So, they snatched a good deal on a home that was already in the works! Good work being prepared though! Congratulations!!! However, prices are NOT falling! Just slowing down from a frenzie to a more moderate pace!

I can’t even describe my happiness for these long time friends who were able to buy such a great house in this market that is difficult for buyers right now! But because they had such a huge down payment, we didn’t have to worry about low appraisal, among other things! Jim and Jamie are so deserving of this great accomplishment, especially in this unprecedented time in this truly crazy market!!

It's a good time to list with inventory being low and with high demand for ANY type of home! You still need to take great care in getting it ready in every way. And price it right! Also, it's a good time to buy with interest rates at an all time low! Who do you know that would like to live in Alpine with their horses, or goats, or chickens?? Uncommon horse property on over half an acre, and a home that has a full basement apartment are hard to find!

These buyers had their offer accepted during the two weeks we had less multiple offers. Other buyers are saying they are waiting for the market to go down or crash. That’s not happening!! Silicon Slopes has a 30 year growth plan and businesses are growing. With interest rates at an all time historic low, now is the time to get a home if you’re sitting on the fence!
