The side of being a Utah County realtor that you don’t see 🤫

A closing photo, a successful post, or a home that sells quickly can make the outcome look simple from the outside, but there’s usually a lot more happening behind it.

There are late nights, extra calls, prep that started weeks earlier, conversations that had to happen at exactly the right time, and plenty of small decisions that never make it onto social media but still shape the result.

That’s the part of the job people rarely see, and honestly, it’s a huge part of what makes the wins mean so much.

The highlight is only the final frame. Most of the work happened long before it.

Live in Orem, Utah long enough and you can check every single one of these off 😂

You’ve taken photos at Nielsen's Grove Park, waited way too long for a dirty soda, built plans around Oremfest, and learned exactly when not to take University Parkway.
(Fun fact, Nielsen's Grove is supposedly the first official park in Utah!)

At some point, these little experiences just become part of living here.

Hey!! If you are new here, just wanted to do a quick intro!
We are Chris & Sheralyn Bennett, we have been married for 20 years. Both of us are full time Realtors with Berkshire Hathaway & licensed general contractors as well. Chris grew up in American Fork & Sheralyn in Payson/Orem. We have no kids, but 3 sweet little rescue dogs, Holly, Freddy & Archie. (And 2 angel pups Kanga Rainbow & Peanut Butter)

We love to travel, hike & be outside. Both of us laugh all the time & are pretty chill (unless someone is pushing us or a client around 😆)

Chris is super handy & knowledgeable; Sheralyn loves home decor & interior design.

Somewhere along the way, interest rates became the main character in every homebuying conversation.

They matter, of course.

But obsessing over one number can distract you from the question that actually matters: does buying a home right now make sense for your finances, your plans, and the life you’re trying to build?

A rate can tell you part of the cost.

It can’t tell you whether you’ve outgrown your current space, how long you plan to stay, what opportunities exist in your local market, or whether the monthly payment fits comfortably into your real life.

Real estate has a funny way of making even confident people question every move.
