Things I learned to be a little more grateful for after visiting Europe.
1: The biggest thing is air conditioning. It was so hot in Europe and basically no where has AC. In Bruges our Airbnb room was very warm so we had to open the windows at night. And ofcourse there were no screens, so I got eaten alive by mosquitos.
2: My washer and dryer. Because we were sweating so much especially in Paris. I ended up having to wash some clothes in the sink in our Airbnb. Gotta do whatcha gotta do.
3: Ice!! I am normally not that crazy about ice but because it was so hot we really wanted cold drinks. One place we went to gave us one cube of ice in our drink. Haha!!
4: Thankful for my hair dresser. One of my little luxuries that I have for myself is getting my hair done once a week. Washed, dried and styled. I didn't have my hairdresser with me unfortunately so I had to do my own hair. 😆 (I know tragic right?) So am I more thankful for my hairdresser .emily
5: So thankful for my boyfriend Spencer who was super patient with me when I would get hot and cranky. Especially with the train delays. If you can survive a European trip with your significant other then things are going to be great. ❤️❤️
Here are the things that I truly appreciated about Europe and wish we could have in the USA.
-Lots of open air markets with fresh veggies, fruit, cheese, pastries. 🥕🍅🥝🥖
-I have a lot of gut issues with food in the US. I never once had a stomachache from eating in Europe. The food is just better. Better ingredients. They have restrictions on what can go in their food. Also before going to Europe I was never going to eat mayo on fries. But honestly their mayo is better and quite delicious on fries. The butter is also so amazingly good. 😋
-This is random but all their bottled drinks are designed to where the cap doesn't come completely off. It is for recycling purposes but honestly it just makes sense.
-I loved the slower pace in France and Belgium. Just stop and smell the roses sometimes. We get going so fast that we miss out on the little details in life.
And finally I am so so grateful that I was able to go on this trip. I know that travel
