Somewhere along the way, interest rates became the main character in every homebuying conversation.

And yes, they matter. Of course they do.

But focusing on that one number can distract you from the question that matters most: does
buying a home right now make sense for your finances, your plans and the life you’re trying to build?

A rate can tell you part of the cost.

It can’t tell you whether you’ve outgrown your current space, how long you plan to stay,
what opportunities exist in your local market or whether the monthly payment actually feels comfortable for your real life.

There’s rarely one magical number that suddenly makes it the “perfect” time to
buy. That’s why I’d rather help you look at the full picture and make a smart decision for you.

So, is this a “bad” market?

I don’t think that’s a particularly useful way to look at it.

It’s a more selective market.

The right house can still move quickly. A buyer can still find themselves competing. And a seller can be positioned well and still wait longer than expected.

Different price points, neighborhoods and properties are experiencing this market differently.

So when someone asks:

“How’s the market?”

Tell me whether you’re buying or selling.
Tell me the price point.
Tell me the neighborhood.
Tell me what you’re trying to accomplish.

Then I’ll tell you how your market is.

Because that’s the information that actually helps you make a decision.

✨CLOSING DAY✨ I couldn’t be happier for this cute young couple who closed on their dream home today. It’s rare to find the perfect yard with no neighbors looking in. In Utah we live in a fish bowl and maybe we are used to it or not, but for this couple a private yard was a must. I am grateful they chose me as their realtor and was happy to have found exactly what they wanted. Special thanks to who continue to deliver and congratulations to them for bringing a new loan product to the US market. If you are interested in a Rapid Repay loan, give them a call.
