Can't tell you something ?! My sweet Vincent boy turns 4 today he uses that preamble no less that 300 time a day to share his knowledge with anyone who will listen do you know that he's faster than a tiny scorpion ?(He means pincer bug ) He is still devoted to construction vehicles fire trucks books and the color yellow 💛he is a serious boy who knows what he wants
He's a homeboy who's fallen in love with gardening coloring and chapter books he is devoted to his constant playmate vida he will forever challenge us his parents but we are ever grateful for this ray of sunshine ☀️ .

Vida mi vida up until the day before were born I had yet to wrap my brain around the idea that you were a whole person waiting to begin your very own life in the outside world I was preoccupied with your brother and with getting my real estate license and for those 10 month inside me you mostly felt like an afterthought, as opposed to someone I was expecting I was in the bath when it dawned on me that i was wildly eager to know you I wept and apologized to your sweet little soul the next morning I went to a matinee of a little women with my mom still wholly unawares that I was carrying a little woman myself that night you made your move with a speed and confidence that I now recognize as very particular to you yours was honestly the labor and delivery that drama are made of

Six weeks after you were born lockdown began needless to say you and I spend some real time together this year girl you have the heart of an explorer the strength of a horse and the joy of a puppy wrapped up in a teeny tiny powerhouse package you are our crazy haired rooster and our sticky fingered octopus you are on the move in ways your brother never was I expect that as soon as you begin to Walk he will be desperate to keep up with you

I don't find myself looking backwards with you vida your is not a nostalgia spirit for what I can tell with you every time is forward and I am constantly excited for what the next day will bring to get this front row seat to watching you become unfurling before my eyes layering on new things is such a pure joy I could never have imagined let's go baby girl Andale arriba

Your 40th birthday was a total blur but we knew it would be. You accepted what i had to give you the day after birthing vida - absolutely nothing - with grece and maturity .(Perhaps a harbinger of what the year had in store for us all.) you processed the hospital paperwork, put our daughter in her carseat for the first time and drove us home you danced with her in front of the fireplace that night and my eyes sparkled at the sight of you two together .

How a person could rise to the occasion in the year 2020 is a question I will continue to ask myself for years to come .
You did it somehow . You cared for us. You cared for patients, more of them than ever before and because you care deeply about your hospital you sought out the leadership and janitorial staff alike, and threw yourself at their service. you never crashed, burned out or gave up.
we may struggle to agree on a movie to watch , and i may never relax about how long it takes you to get out of the house you dawdling dodo, but you give the best damn back rubs and foot massagers, and have my most favorite facial profile I've ever seen, so I guess I'm gonna stick around at least through 2021.happy birthday baby. I love you
