It’s flu season! One of my favorite guilty pleasures during the cold months is getting a “Medicine Ball” from Starbucks - it’s sooooo good.

But, I learned how to make it at home with easy to find products so I’m not gatekeeping!
-
2 cups boiling water
1 Tea bag of the peach tea
1 tea bag of mint tea (if you want caffeine, use the black tea; less caffeine use the green tea, NO caffeine use the herbal tea option)
Honey - I used 1 tblsp
Peppermint syrup - to taste! I used only 1 tsp
Lemon- I used two lemon wedges instead of lemonade like the coffee shop. Up to you how you want to include the lemon flavor ; wedges, slices, lemon juice from concentrate or lemonade.

If you haven’t been here for a minute, or maybe you haven’t had a chance to get to know me in person, let me catch you up on what you’ve missed ✌🏻

I just celebrated my first year at RE/MAX Real Estate Center with Jennings Real Estate Team so it’s time for a reintroduction 👋

Real Estate
- I’ve been in the industry since 2017. I first got licensed in 2019. I started as an unlicensed assistant to a single agent and now work as a Transaction Coordinator for a team of 7 agents that work out of the Ames and Des Moines Metro areas.
- I chose to get licensed because it not only creates a more seamless experience for our clients but it really my job easier by having the legal privileges that come with it!
- I didn’t tell my teacher in kindergarten that I wanted to be a real estate agent , but when I found it almost 8 years ago now, I KNEW this is where I wanted to stay. Anyone who does know me, knows I LOVE my job and this line of work I’m in.
- I get to learn sooooooo much from my more experienced brokers and piers, and I love that basically everyone in the industry (in our markets) are my coworkers because that’s just how we work and how often we work with each other!
- Buying or selling a home can be so personal for many reasons, and we get to help people with their WHOLE LIVES most of the time, and it’s a pretty great privilege to be a part of, and that’s my favorite part.

Personally
- I have an amazing husband with whom I’ve been attached to for 11 years. We have two beautiful children who have learned to master testing my patience just enough before turning into the sweet part of the sour patch kid. (Parents will get that one 🥰)
- We ‘dabble’ in learning to homestead just a little bit on our acre that we have . Lots to learn but we are taking baby steps and we haven’t ripped our hair out yet!
- My house , and my desk, will always look like your grandmas house from the 80s. I love cozy vintage and it’s at least 1/3 of my personality.
- I love to run, read, change my hair and collect graphic tees & blazers. I’m almost always in a tee, sneakers or boots and jacket, why change a system that works? 😅
- There are two things I’m completely obsessed with and I’m loud about; my favorite movie is Twister and I just loooooovee my car. Buck, buck, Bronco 🤘🏼

If you happen to be interested in sitting down for a cup of Joe that has way too much caffeine, I’d love to chat!! That’s the other great part of this work, I’m always meeting new people and it’s amazing. I always say I’m an office gremlin, so give me an excuse to leave at 10am for an important meeting 😍 ☕️

The realtor got a new whip this last week 🤙🏼

I’m OBSESSED with the movie Twister (1996) but I’m not so obsessed with the brand of off-roading vehicles that ends with ‘eep’ 😅

So instead, the hubby helped me find a Bronco to turn into my own version of a replica of the Jeep J10 that Joe Harding drove in the film. So I’ll have tons of fun going forward making all the mods and nods to this amazing movie that holds my heart 🫶🏻

Her name is Dorothy but I’ve found myself referring to her as “The Chaser” 🌪️

We got to have some photo shoot fun yesterday with the team!!! I can’t wait for you guys to see them 💯🔥
This post serves as a special appreciation post for the “office staff” of the team. Mikayla is our amazingly creative and talented Marketing Associate that’s always in the office with me. And of course our fearless leader, lead realtor, “second” mom to some of us and only mom to the rest 😉, the incomparable Traci Jennings. I feel so lucky that we all work together so well and keep this team rolling every day and have fun doing it.
