This one feels extra special. 🤍

I was honored to receive the Quality Service Producers Award through Century 21—based on client feedback and experience. AND our top-notch Hokel Team received an award for being one of the top three teams in the state of Iowa!

Honestly, this isn’t just about me though.

It’s my clients who trusted me.
My mom who helped with the kids whenever I needed her, even though she lives 45 minutes away! 🙏🏼
Jack who pushes me to be my best and helps watch the kids after he’s worked all day.

POV: You work in a commission-based career. 😅

A little behind-the-scenes of real estate most people don’t realize…

Realtors don’t get paid hourly.
We don’t get a salary.
We only get paid when a deal closes.

That means we can spend weeks (sometimes months):
• showing homes
• researching properties
• writing offers
• negotiating
• coordinating inspections
• solving unexpected problems

…and if the deal doesn’t make it to the closing table, we don’t get paid.

Here’s what happened in the past week in the Boone & Story County market:

• 42 new listings
• 50 homes went pending
• 38 homes closed
• 41 price changes

What that tells us 👇

Inventory is lower than last year (almost 100 fewer homes for sale), but buyers are still being selective. Homes are taking around 44 days to sell, and prices are holding steady — about $20K higher than this time last year.

With spring approaching, we could start seeing multiple offers again on the best homes.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling this year, understanding the market trends can make a big difference in your strategy.
