A little planning can make moving day much easier. Here are a few simple tricks people often overlook:

✅ Pack a “First Night” tote with toiletries, medications, chargers, towels, toilet paper, basic tools, and a change of clothes.

✅ Take photos of electronics before unplugging the cords.

✅ Label boxes on the top AND at least one side so you can still read them when stacked.

✅ Use a different color of tape for each room.

✅ Place screws and hardware in labeled bags, then tape them securely to the furniture they belong to.

✅ Keep important documents, keys, valuables, and medications with you—not in the moving truck.

✅ Measure doorways and large furniture before moving day.

✅ Schedule utilities and update your address before you receive the keys.

✅ Pack a small cooler with drinks and snacks. Moving day always takes longer than expected!
