What we’re doing around Stanwood-Camano this weekend | Sept 18 – 20 ☀️
If you blink, summer’s favorite routines are gone—we only have two Stanwood Farmers Markets left for the season! If you’ve been meaning to grab fresh produce, local baked goods, or just wander through behind the police station, Friday afternoon is your time.
A few standout ways to spend your weekend around town:
🌾 Catch the Market While You Can: Friday, 2–6 PM. Rain or shine, local vendors always show up big.
📚 Camano Island Library Annual Book Sale: Saturday starting at 10 AM. Hit the ATM on your way in because this one is cash only, and the meeting room will be packed with hidden treasures.
🐴 Hooves & Heroes Annual Fundraiser: Saturday evening at Stillaguamish Grange Hall. Supporting our veterans, first responders, and their families—plus cocktail hour on the lawn with Misty the Mini. A cause that truly makes our community stronger.
🏈 ⚾ Couch & Fan Gear Sunday: Mariners in Denver all weekend, and the Hawks kicking off against Arizona at 1:25 PM Sunday.

What a FUN day.

A huge thank you to the City of Stanwood for putting together such a great event. From beginning to end, it was so well organized, and I thought the high school was the perfect location. I spoke with several people who had forgotten Touch-A-Truck was happening, drove by, saw everything going on and decided to stop in!

But my favorite part of the day was the people.

I saw so many familiar faces, met new ones, talked with families, watched kids explore all the trucks and equipment, and saw a whole lot of smiling faces. I had such a good time.

I brought 100 of my bags to share. To my amazement, every single one was gone in less than an hour, and people kept stopping by afterward asking if I had any left!

If you were one of the people who grabbed my business card because you wanted a bag, please reach out. I'm having more made and I'll be happy to save one for you.

And I have to give a HUGE thank you to David Ell, who took photos for the entire three-hour event without a break. The Touch-A-Truck backdrop was so much fun and completely on theme, and David captured so many great moments throughout the day. I really can't thank him enough.

To everyone who stopped by to say hello, introduced yourself, thanked me for sponsoring, or simply shared a smile with me, thank you. Those conversations were the best part of my day.

Touch A Truck is TOMORROW in Stanwood!

This is one of those community events where kids get to see the vehicles they normally only spot driving down the road, up close. Big trucks, construction equipment, emergency vehicles and more.

And if all those horns and sounds are a little too much, I love that they have a quiet/no-horn hour from 10–11 a.m. ❤️

If you’ve been saying, “I need to get down there this summer,” you’re officially running out of Fridays. 😊

The Stanwood Farmers Market is one of those little things I love about living here. Local vendors, fresh food, handmade goods and a chance to run into people you know while supporting small businesses in our community.

A few of my regular stops? Fresh sourdough bread, kefir-style yogurt and the gluten-free treats from Merry Little Bakers. ❤️

Okay Stanwood-Camano, there is A LOT happening around here this weekend. ❤️

The Stanwood Farmers Market is winding down for the season, Touch A Truck is Saturday, there are historic tours, workshops, community events, live music and, of course, a full weekend of Mariners baseball. ⚾

I put everything together in one place so you can swipe through and see what’s happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I’m especially excited about Touch A Truck on Saturday. I’m proud to be one of this year’s sponsors, and if you have kids who love big trucks, construction equipment and emergency vehicles, this is such a fun community event.
