The health and well being of our clients and the communities in which we serve is our number one priority. Given concerted global efforts to help slow the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to take the follow steps in doing our part to help stop the spread of the virus. During the current California Quarantine Mandates, along with the recommendations from the California Association of Realtors, the following guidelines will now be followed by our company for any inspection services:
1. Only one property will be inspected per day to help prevent the possible spread of the virus between residences or communities.
2. Home buyers and other non occupant clients will not be allowed to attend home inspections. The inspector can provide a phone call, FaceTime video chat, or Facebook Messenger video chat to discuss the findings on the report and answer any questions.
3. Sellers, tenants, property owners or real estate agents should remain outside when possible for the duration of any inspection service. When that is not possible, they need to remain in one room or area of the property while the inspector completes the service.
4. Inspections services should not be ordered to overlap any other service providers who may be onsite during the scheduled appointment time. This can included, but not limited to, termite inspectors, appraisers, retrofit companies, repair contractors or any other specialized services. Our inspector will give you an estimated window in which the inspection services can be completed so please schedule other contractors outside of this time frame.
5. Reports may include additional photos and in some instances, videos, to help provide an even more comprehensive report than normal. We hope these additional inserts will help bridge the gap of the home buyer not being able to attend the home inspection personally. This will increase the size of the report file or printed report, however this does not affect our ability to securely host your inspection report on our website for 4 years.
We understand this will greatly affect our ability to service all of our customers in a timely manner, however at this point in time we want to prioritize our our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for your understanding.
