Over the past thirty years my work has encompassed the fields of architectural and interior design, residential and commercial construction, property management and project management. I have knowledge of land and property acquisition, design, preparation of construction drawings, discounted cash flow analysis, business plans, financing, property rehabilitation, and compliance with local and feder
al regulations to obtain licenses, permits, and funding. As a hands-on manager, contractor, and project manager I have experience in estimating, scheduling, payroll, plumbing, electrical systems, foundations, carpentry, roofing, applied finishes, and structural capacities. Contracting jobs helped finance not only my formal education but also a number of entrepreneurial endeavors throughout the years. Management positions have included commercial enterprises such as restaurants and clubs, office management/construction supervisor for a real estate development company, and autonomous development of apartments into condominiums financed by investors. Graduate studies concentrated on real estate development, construction management, finance, economics, and environmental concerns.
