The City will once again be taking orders for a tree giveaway. There will be 3 different species to choose from with a maximum of 6 trees per property. It is for Andover residents only. The trees are bare root saplings and range from 2-4 feet in height at pick up time. The pick up day will be at Andover City Hall on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Details and map are below. Once you submit order, you will be sent an auto reply with your order details (please click the check box and enter email at bottom). Orders will be accepted until the tree supply is exhausted or Thursday, April 11th, whichever comes first. Info on the tree species can be found at this link:

Spring water main flushing will take place April 14th - 28th, Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Flushing the watermains removes buildup of debris and sediment in the city pipes. Even though the water may be discolored from the iron sediment it is still safe to consume. It however is not safe for your load of white laundry. During flushing it is recommended to check the clarity of the water by filling the washing machine before adding any clothes. If this is not possible due to the style of your washing machine be careful as checking the water in a near by faucet only indicates the clarity of water at that moment and you can still get dirty water in your washing machine as water clarity can change quickly during flushing.
