The smell of a home is one of the first things you notice when you walk in. Make sure you leave a good first impression on guests walking into your home. Something you’ll want to remember when adding a welcoming sent is to not make it too over powering. This way it shows you’re not trying to cover up a deeper problem:)💐🍪🕯

☀️Summer is just around the corner, and I can hardly wait! 🎉2020 was hard on all of us and has inspired all of the new summer trends for this year. Cottagecore has been all over Instagram for some time now and is finally making its way into people's homes for summer. Cottage core is a slightly more chic version of your Grandma's living room. It mixes floral patterns with color to add quite the pop to any space. Japandi is the exact opposite. Japandi is the perfect mix of Japanese and Scandi styles. This is a very simple and clean design. Focusing on organic shapes, natural wood, and plain colors. Incorporating earth tones into your space is the perfect way to stay grounded in your space. This is an amazing way to then add subtle pops of color like sage green (which is becoming more popular in kitchens this year) or a pale pink. Flexible spaces have become one of the biggest takeaways from 2020. Everyone needs to have a space for their zooms but the room may also double as their dining room. Being able to have some flexibility in your room is crucial to the new work from home life many of us are experiencing. Many people have become very aware of how fragile our Earth is and this is why we have been seeing an increase in eco-friendly decorations. One of these products is cork. It is a very versatile material that can be sculpted and colored into just about anything. Nature is another huge trend we are seeing in people's homes this year. It is the perfect way to add some color into a space, and bring the feeling of outside in. While the world is starting to open back up slowly this hasn't stopped people from wanting to bring in a little glitz and glam into their home. That might be as small as adding a pop of velvet in a pillow or finally splurging on the candle they've been eyeing, for their coffee table. Adding some of these summer trends to your home can be very simple and small. Check out my stories to get some inspiration for each of these new trends!🙌🏻

💡Thinking about updating your bathroom? This room in your house can seem very intimidating and sounds very expensive to tackle. I’m going to give you a few ways to update the space without any major changes. First let's talk about lighting. The first thing you do when you enter a space is turn on the light. You want to make sure the lighting in this room fits the appropriate mood you’re trying to set. Whether that is light and bright or dark and moody. The next thing that can be updated and transform your space is updating your mirror. Adding a frame around the mirror is a quick and easy way to add some more depth to the space. The final thing you can do to transform your bathroom is adding some floating shelves above the toilet. This is a way you can incorporate some fun decorations and even display some needed items, like toilet paper.😄
