My spring maintenance checklist will help you stay organized & help get your house into shape. 👇🏾🏡👇🏾
1. Test kitchen & bathroom exhaust fans: If the warm, moist air isn’t vented properly, it will lead to serious issues like mold. 👈🏾👈🏾
2. Inspect your sump pump if you have one: A sump pump needs to be regularly monitored to make sure it will do its job when needed. Clear away debris that could cause a blockage. 🧹
3. Clean gutters & downspouts: Having your gutters and downspouts cleaned early in the season can also help prevent damage from spring rains. 🌹🌸🌼
4. Check sprinkler and irrigation systems: Checking your sprinklers or irrigation systems in the spring can save water – and save your plants. 💦🪴🏡
5. Skipping protection: A good pair of cleaning gloves will help protect your hands from chemicals, abrasive cleansers, and hot water! 👍🏾🙌🏾
6. Mixing cleaners : Many chemical reactions produce toxic fumes, which can cause headaches, coughing, eye irritation, or worse! 🧪✋🏾⚠️
7. Climbing ladders : If cleaning your windows or gutters is on your spring cleaning to-do list, be extra cautious as falling off of ladders is a common cleaning-related injury! 🪜🚫
8. Keeping windows closed. Fresh air brings new energy into your home and is particularly important if you’re using chemical cleaners! ☀️☀️
