Not pictured- my kids😂

I spent last weekend with my youngest son in South Carolina. We explored. We went to The Biltmore in Asheville IYKYK. We got to see some beautiful sunsets.

But my absolute favorite part was watching him do something he loves. He took a performance driving class and test drove really fast (too fast for my taste😅) around a track. I sat there with the biggest smile on my face because I knew how happy he was.

Moms- take the trip. Do the activities. Even if it’s non conventional. The joy that comes from their joy is indescribable. I’ll never forget our trip. 💙

It’s staged. It’s gorgeous. It’s got $100k+ in upgrades you can’t see on the price tag. And the friendly rep showing you around? They work for the builder, not for you. So before you fall in love, ask these 10 questions. Here’s the thing most buyers learned too late building can be an amazing decision, but the process is built to favor the builder. The base price is the bait. The timeline can slip. The “this deal ends Sunday” pressure is usually on a loop. None of that means don’t build. There are a lot of things they don’t teach you in real estate school.

At this point, I’m not entirely sure where the job description for “realtor” ends.

I’ve loaned out my snowblower.
I’ve shoveled a driveway before listing photos.
I’ve watered flowers when sellers were out of town.
I’ve moved patio furniture around for the perfect photo.
And today? Apparently I’m coordinating pizza deliveries.

The funny thing about real estate is that the houses are only part of the job.

A lot of what I do has nothing to do with contracts or lockboxes. It’s the little things that make a stressful process feel a little easier, a little smoother, and a little more personal.

So yes, I was late.

But my buyers got their keys… and their pizza. 🍕

The city has never been the most important part of my job.

Every real estate “expert” will tell you that you need to pick one town, one city, one neighborhood, and stay there.

But the truth is… my favorite part of this job is the people, not the zip codes.

In May alone, I had the privilege of helping clients in Dexter, Pinckney, Westland, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Ypsilanti, Temperance, and Belleville.

🏡A family closed on a brand-new home.

🏡 A client sold a beautiful vacant lot to an excited new owner.

🏡A home sold over asking price.
A listing went under contract in just two days.

🏡First-time buyers got the keys to their very first home.

🏡 Another family found their dream home.

That’s why I refuse to take the advice to “pick one city.”

I choose people.

I choose helping no matter the location.

Thats what it’s about for me.
