Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Individuals,
A Life-Saving Opportunity – Seeking a Kidney Donor
I hope this message finds you well. This is not an easy letter to write, but I am reaching out with hope in my heart and a request that could truly save my life. Any one who knows me, knows that I have struggled with Lupus all my life.
Twelve years ago, I was blessed to receive a kidney transplant after battling kidney failure due to lupus. I was saved by an extraordinary woman, who is now my wife and Amazing mother to my 10yr. Old son. She just happened to be the closest match in every way with out being a blood relative. We had a incredible run with the kidney she had donated to me at the time. We got the best possible life span from that kidney considering all present conditions. Unfortunately, almost 2 yrs ago, we have exhausted the life of that transplanted kidney and I have been fighting for LIFE ever since to recover from extensive trauma from multiple health issues, in and out of multiple ICU"s in the past year and a half, and have been undergoing dialysis three times a week. While dialysis helps keep me going, it is not a long-term solution. My doctors have told me that my best chance for a healthier, fuller life is another kidney transplant from a live donor for the best possible outcome and longevity.
I am humbly seeking a living kidney donor—someone who is willing to give the gift of life. The ideal donor would have blood type O+ positive, but even if you are not a direct match, there are paired donation programs that can help find a compatible kidney for me. The evaluation process is thorough, and potential donors will receive detailed medical care, guidance and support at no cost whatsoever to them.
I understand that this is a significant decision, and I do not take this request lightly. However, if you or someone you know might be open to exploring this possibility, I would be forever grateful. Even if donation is not an option, simply sharing my story could help me find the right donor.
If you would like more information or are interested in being tested as a potential donor, please reach out to me via email at [email protected] and I can send you a link to start the process to get tested.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your prayers, support, and kindness. I believe in the power of family, friends, and community, and I remain hopeful that my match is out there.
With gratitude,
Sean Birckhead
