What's the most surprising thing you've ever found during a home inspection?
-I was crawling around a really low crawlspace (like 18 inches) and squeezed myself under an HVAC duct and when I came out from the other side there was a giant possum staring me in the face with its mouth wide open.

Do you have one quick tip every homeowner should know?
-Keep humidity below 60% to help prevent mold growth. Keep a dehumidifier in your basement.

On the rare day you have free time, what are you doing?
-I like to play video games with my wife. Currently we are playing Baulders Gate, and occasionally we will hop on Fortnite. I am also trying to get back into fishing since moving to Maryland last year.

What's your go-to local restaurant or favorite meal?
-Cajun seafood boil or pork ramen

Is there one thing that is trending but you think is overrated?
-Smart switches, bulbs and outlets. Apps to control them need to be consistently updated and if you get multiple different types you need multiple apps to control each device and it's exhausting keeping track of it all.

What's the most surprising thing you've ever found during a home inspection?
• Snake with his tail stuck in the crawlspace access hatch. Went to show the agent when I got him out of there and she promptly locked all the doors . . . "NO THANK YOU" as the door slammed.🤣

Do you have one quick tip every homeowner should know?
• Open your windows, they need exercise, or will stop working over time. Give your HVAC a break and get some fresh air. Make sure you lock them when closed, and it is easy and more efficient.

On the rare day you have free time, what are you doing?
• Hanging with the boys, 2 and 8 years old. Renovations to the house. Time on the water or disc golf / basketball / pickle ball / snorkel

What's your go-to local restaurant or favorite meal?
• Pasta in general, so many combinations to choose from. Pizza and cheesesteak from Queenstown Pizzaria.

Is there one thing that is trending but you think is overrated?
• Hot take! White houses with black windows look like hospitals. IMO, a little too clinical for my tastes.

What's the most surprising thing you've ever found during a home inspection?
-Finding an old hand-dug well in a crawl space. It was like 4 feet wide and 20 feet deep and I could have slid right in it!

Do you have one quick tip every homeowner should know?
-Keep water away from the house!!

On the rare day you have free time, what are you doing?
-I love doing family stuff especially now that my kids are into all kinds of sports. We can go outside and battle with each other doing just about everything. Including pickleball of course.

What's your go-to local restaurant or favorite meal?
-I love Harris Crab House (Grasonville, MD)

Is there one thing that is trending but you think is overrated?
-Smart refrigerators and overly techy appliances.

What's the most surprising thing you've ever found during a home inspection?
-Sooo many to think about! Someone actually having service records for all their HVAC systems for the entire life span of the units.

Do you have one quick tip every homeowner should know?
-Power washing is not always the answer. Soft scrub type of home cleaning can be just as effective without potentially damaging your home.

On the rare day you have free time, what are you doing?
-Coaching Baseball, watching my daughter dance, hunting, or camping.

What's your go-to local restaurant or favorite meal?
-Dockside or Jays Latin Kitchen in Southern Anne Arundel County.

Is there one thing that is trending but you think is overrated?
-The use of AI for everything. It has its place in society, but technology is not always your friend. It helps in when research is vetted and in task management, but strong dependency on it can slow cognition and the human element of life.
