Poor air quality can be expected today due to smoke originating from Canadian wildfires. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible in the Allegheny Highlands and central Shenandoah Valley. Multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday into Saturday evening. The front will push south of the area on Sunday, resulting in cooler conditions.
