If Hallmark made a Chesapeake Bay movie… it would probably be set in Oxford, Maryland.
You take a tiny ferry across the water past sailboats and osprey, then suddenly arrive in a town filled with brick sidewalks, white picket fences, historic inns, and perfectly preserved homes that look straight out of another era.
There’s a little bookstore, waterfront restaurants, a sleepy marina, and the kind of quiet streets that make you want to put your phone away and stay awhile.
It feels slower there in the best possible way.
Like the kind of town where everyone waves, summer evenings last longer, and you accidentally end up browsing antique shops for two hours before dinner by the water.
Honestly, it’s one of the most charming places on the Eastern Shore.
