If you asked me how I plan to end summer around town, I would absolutely tell you these ten things:

Catch your own crabs and have a spontaneous feast in the backyard.

Walk to ice cream on a weeknight, just because.

Get up ridiculously early and be first in line at the coffee shop.

Grab a snowball and people-watch along the trail.

Have one last bonfire down by the water.

Make time for one last hurrah at the sandbar.

Grab a hot dog from the hot dog boat.

Snag a soft shell off the piling and cook it yourself.

Plan a neighborhood gathering: because sometimes a neighborhood can change your life.

And soak up every last bit of summer before it slips away.

Because this is what I love about this town. It’s not just where you live. It’s the little traditions, spontaneous nights, familiar faces, and people who make a place feel like home.
