PROS

1. Water everywhere — sailing, kayaking, or just staring at the Bay with a drink counts as a lifestyle

2. Crab cakes and oysters aren’t a treat, they’re just… Tuesday

3. Genuinely gorgeous historic downtown that makes every errand feel like a movie set

CONS

1. You will buy a boat — it starts innocently with “just looking”

2. Crab pricing — you grew up eating them like chips, now you need a financing plan for a dozen

3. Everyone knows everyone — you cannot bad-mouth someone without it getting back to them by Thursday. Annapolis has 40,000 people but operates like a village of 200

Eastport isn’t just a neighborhood — it’s its own republic! 🌊

Literally. In 1998 it declared itself the Maritime Republic of Eastport and got its own flag!

Just over the Spa Creek Bridge — sailboat races, working marinas, breweries, and great restaurants all on one peninsula.

People come for a weekend and start looking at homes by Sunday.

🌊Downtown Annapolis breakfast vibes! Drop your favorite breakfast spots in Annapolis.⬇️

Chick & Ruth’s Delly — a Main Street institution since 1965. Crab omelet, Delly fried potatoes, homemade corned beef hash. They still recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning at 9:30am. That’s Annapolis.

Sofi’s Crepes — right at the city docks. Sweet or savory, made fresh in front of you, handed to you folded and ready to eat walking along the water. A spot locals never skip.

Iron Rooster — steps from Ego Alley, breakfast all day, scratch kitchen. The chicken & waffles and homemade pop tarts alone are worth the trip.

Irish Traditions has been on 141 Main Street since 2010 — imported jewelry, apparel, handmade sweaters, and food straight from Ireland 🇮🇪 and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

The owner flies to both countries twice a year just to hand pick what’s on the shelves.
