Hello Friends!

We are grateful for all of you who came out last weekend to support our team's first annual Warm Winter Gear Donation Drive!

We are overjoyed to announce that with your help we collected 130 coats, 58 scarves, 64 hats, 51 pairs of mittens, 13 pairs of boots, 18 pairs of snow pants along with a bunch of socks, headbands, sweatshirts, sweaters and vests. Many of these items are brand new with tags still on them. They are wonderful gifts and will be a huge blessing to many people.

These items have now been sorted and will be delivered to specific families who have asked for help, as well people in need currently living on the streets and homeless in the Twin Cities. Our team will hit the streets starting this weekend to deliver to people directly. Any items left over will be delivered to a couple homeless organizations throughout the metro. Please pray for our safety during delivery and that we can provide a light in our community without fear and show love to others like we are called to!

This was a huge victory and we cannot thank you enough for your huge hearts. Our prayer is that we can all find ways to remain audacious with generosity and love. We read and would like to share a quote inspired from Ephesians 5:8 that says this:

“I used to be afraid of the dark until I learned that I AM THE LIGHT and the dark is afraid of me.”

Hi friends & happy December!

Lyman and Denise with The Jenkins Real Estate Team will be hosting our 1st Annual Warm Winter Gear Donation Drive!

We will be hosting this event in the Andover RE/MAX Results parking lot this Saturday, December 12th from 9am-12noon. We are collecting new and gently used warm outerwear including coats, boots, hats, mittens, snow pants, socks, etc. The event will be Covid-friendly and will take place outdoors… simply a drop-off and leave type of event with a complimentary cookie and coffee to go. We will have one dedicated, masked-up and sanitized person serving the coffee!

We will be donating most of these items directly to people in need, and any leftover items will be donated to a few local organizations in the community. We have several personal friends and contacts who work in schools and churches who know, by name, specific families in desperate need of these winter items who would find them to be a great blessing. There is a specific need for children’s gear in sizes Medium through Extra-Large. Further, if you know of anyone who is in need of winter gear, please have them reach out to us directly, and we can set aside the proper sizes if we receive such donated items. We have already had some people reach out.

We love that collectively our community can be a source of blessings and can make a difference together! Everybody wants to be loved…especially now when the world is so loud and weary. We just want to do our part and pour out God’s love to anyone we can help. Thank you for your support and helping us love others!
