Yesterday Newport Cove's neighbors gathered for our community's Third Annual BBQ Throw Down. Here Nancy, the 2020 rib champion, passes the traveling trophy to John, the new winner. Kudos to the neighbors who organized the throw-down, the judges who sampled the entries and the contestants. All the 30-some pounds of ribs were GREAT!

Year-over-year inflation is an unusually high 5.4%. Unfortunately, the price increases in things for the home, from lumber to windows, are much higher. Take home appliances for example. Kitchen appliances are up 12.3% year-over-year and laundry appliances have increased 17.9%. Thankfully, interest rates remain at historic lows. . .
