I am blessed to be connected to the Godley legacy of women. 💛
My Aunt Lucille—my father’s sister (R.I.P., Dad)—and my grandmother instilled values that continue to shape my life today. My grandmother passed down the importance of hard work, and my aunt poured into me the gift of growing my own food.
For that, I am forever grateful—for her time, her wisdom, and her love.
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, I honor my grandmother, with whom I spent summers in North Carolina learning how to pick cucumbers. As a child, I didn’t understand why we were “playing in the dirt”… but now I see it was so much more than that.
It was legacy. It was love. It was preparation.
Now, full circle, I am grateful for the dirt, the lessons, and the powerful lineage of women who came before me.
The legacy continues. 🌱✨
