is Turning 22 Today

Today we celebrate 22 years of a truly extraordinary soul. 🐎

Henry—my off-the-track Thoroughbred—gave everything he had as an athlete. He ran his heart out on the track for his owners, then went on to shine in the dressage arena, earning blue ribbons and always, always trying to give his very best to his person.

But his story didn’t stay in the spotlight.

At one point, he was left behind… injured, emaciated, and nearly forgotten. A horse who had given so much, almost thrown away.

Three years ago, I began sponsoring him.
And somewhere along the way… I fell completely in love.

Bringing Henry home was just the beginning. Yes, there was rehab—groundwork, proper nutrition, supplements, time. But the real healing didn’t come from any program or plan.

It came from him finally knowing—deep down—that he was wanted, loved, and home.

Now at 22, Henry stands surrounded by the best herd—both four-legged and human—who love him endlessly. He carries himself with pride again. He’s kind, gentle, and still lights up when he sees me. Under saddle, he moves with joy… and in the arena, he reminds me every day what heart truly looks like.

This incredible horse has changed my life in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Today, we celebrate him—with apples, love, and complete respect for the beautiful athlete he has always been… and the even more beautiful soul he is today.
