✍Lighting - Light fixtures not only attract dust, some even catch bugs. Get out the duster, then wash in soapy warm water. Then let the lampshades dry on their own.
✍Window blinds - Dust and wipe down your blinds on both sides. Have you ever wondered if dust is released into the air when dusty blinds are opened or closed? The answer is YES.
✍Air vents - They get clogged with dust. Take the vents off, then wash them in soapy water. Brush out any dirt and grime in the openings.
✍Doors - Cleaning is a great time to dust, and wipe down your doors and frames, especially if you have paneled doors that accumulate dust in the ridges.
✍Kitchen Appliances - Clean the interior and exterior of appliances. Also, it's amazing what you'll find under your refrigerator, stove, or dishwasher. Ideally, you should remove them so you can thoroughly clean the area, but be careful not to scratch the floor.
✍Garbage disposal - Run a mixture of baking soda, vinegar, and water through the garbage disposal after cleaning it with ice cubes and rock salt. The rubber flaps on the neck should be cleaned regularly because they attract bacteria.
✍Washer/dryer - Under and around your washer and dryer, do the same thing you did in the kitchen. The inside of the washer and dryer vents should be cleaned and kept free from any lint build up that can cause fires.
✍Shower head - You should remove the showerhead and soak it in cleaning solution to remove any buildup. Scrub with a toothbrush for more stubborn buildup. DONT FORGET shower curtains these contain so much bacteria that need cleaning as well.
✍Ceiling fans - clean the blades and lamp globes. The fan should turn counterclockwise forcing the air down in the summer and creating a cool breeze.
✍Switch covers - To remove dirt and fingerprints from light switch covers, use a gentle disinfectant.
