Add in a few stops to hop off, stretch our legs and really take it all in, and you have a morning that no market report can match.

The members who join us are the ones who always have to be in the know. That thirst for knowledge — and let's be honest, the urge to ride a bus long after the school days ended — is what makes this tour such a good time every year.

RANW Living Legends | Segment 2: Terry Hilgenberg

Fifty-one years a REALTOR® — and not one of them spent on the sidelines.

In this segment of RANW's Living Legends series, we sit down with Terry Hilgenberg, a name that's been woven into the fabric of real estate in Northeast Wisconsin for more than five decades. Terry has served at every level of the REALTOR® organization — local, state, and national — and has been a tireless force for RPAC and REALTOR® advocacy as a Direct Giver and a relentless voice for property owners and the industry.

But Terry's service has never stopped at the Association's doors. From the Chamber of Commerce to the DNR and countless causes in between, he's shown up, rolled up his sleeves, and given his time to the communities he calls home. His list of contributions is long enough that we'd need a second video just to read it.

What makes this conversation worth your time isn't the résumé — it's the philosophy behind it. As Terry puts it:

"There are those guys that say I want to put all my time into the business because that's what makes me money, but really if you spend your time in the Association and uplifting the community, the business will come to you."

That's the lesson at the heart of this segment: involvement isn't time away from your business — it's an investment in it. Terry talks candidly about what the Association has to offer members who are willing to put something into it, and why the returns have shaped an entire career.

Terry Hilgenberg's influence will outlast all of us. It's in the standards, the relationships, and the culture of professionalism that generations of REALTORS® in this area have inherited — whether they know his name or not.

RANW Broker Round Tables this morning featured Appraiser and RANW Past President Judd Stevenson and Attorney, Broker, and Appraiser Lisa Hanson on the topic of updates to appraisals. We are incredibly thankful for the time, energy, and expertise that our brokers bring to these meetings.
