What will you create with the time you have left?
That’s the question my latest podcast guest Danny Bader encouraged us to ask of ourselves.
And as we mourn the loss of Dolly Parton, I can’t help but think of how beautifully she answered it with her life.
She could have simply created music. Instead, she created opportunity. Joy. Books for children. Hope for people who needed it.
She used her extraordinary gifts to make an extraordinary difference.
In a world that is so self-focused and so quick to congratulate itself, Dolly remained humble, faithful, kind and generous.
What a woman.
What a life.
And what a beautiful reminder that our time here is limited, but what we choose to create with it can live on far beyond us.
So whether you're working 9 to 5, dealing with your own Jolene, or waiting for the clouds to break into a clear blue morning, Dolly reminded up there's no better time than now.
