“The bedroom is where the magic happens.”
Relax… I’m talking about real estate. 😄
I’ve walked through hundreds of homes with couples, and the dynamic is always interesting. One person loves the kitchen… the other hates it. One wants a finished basement… the other wants a bigger yard. They’ll analyze the kitchen, talk about the backsplash, admire the flooring, and walk the backyard three times…
…but the room where you actually spend a huge part of your life gets about 15 seconds of attention.
Why is that?
Your bedroom is where you:
• Start and end your day
• Relax after work
• Read or watch TV
• Get ready every morning
• (And yes… sleep 😴)
Yet many buyers focus more on the spaces meant to impress guests rather than the spaces they actually live in.
When I show homes, I like to slow down in the bedroom and ask the questions people forget:
✔ Will your king bed actually fit?
✔ Is the closet big enough?
✔ Is the en suite functional?
✔ Can you walk around the bed… or are you climbing over it every night?
I even bring a tape measure to showings because these little details matter.
The kitchen might sell the sizzle, but the bedroom is where the home really needs to work for your life.
So now I’m curious…
When you look at a home, what room matters most to you?
Kitchen? Backyard? Living room? Bedroom?
Drop it in the comments!
