Once upon a time . . .
Actually the story begins the summer of 2021. Brent and Erica asked me to help them purchase their first house. They got pre-approved and interest rates were 3.5%.

When new listings came out, usually on Thursdays, they would review them on- line and then contact me about the ones they wanted to go through. Regularly on the weekend tours of houses , they would find one they were interested in. We submitted great offers over and over.

On Mondays we would wait to hear if their offer was the one that got accepted. Sometimes we waited until 9:00 at night to hear. Month after month their offer was passed over. And in the months they kept trying to purchase a house, the interest rate kept getting higher - over 6%!!!

Even with all the disappointing news, they kept a positive attitude and continued to actively pursue finding and closing on a house. It’s been a year now since the search began. But this past Friday they closed on a nice ranch with a FP, great fenced yard, finished lower level and spacious garage!!

I’m so proud of them as they pushed through a very difficult year. So congratulations on your first home really is in order for this young couple.
