I was listening to a lender on Facebook yesterday and he was talking about how right now is probably the best time to buy a house. You have to get out of the mindset of the rate being too high, because the rate is something we can always renegotiate when it goes lower. But a house, once you buy that house, you can't go back and renegotiate saying you want it cheaper. With not as many buyers buying right now because they are scared of the rate, now is the time we get to do our negotiations. We didn't have that power before as buyers. Now is our time. We have that leverage. We can ask for the contingencies. We can ask for closing costs. So if you have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the perfect storm, you are going to be waiting a long time, because once that rate starts to drop and people get more comfortable, you are going to be competing against all those other buyers. Now is the time to get in there and get that house that you want.

Spent my morning trying to find a missing cat's home. Took it to the vet to check for a chip, no chip, so I dropped it off at the Appleton Police Department. If you are missing a long haired tuxedo black and white cat with black on its chin, that is where it is.

Here is my tip for buyers and sellers: microchip your pets, and when you move, update your address so someone can find you if your pet gets lost.
