Learn about the VFW Auxiliary’s mission and how members make a difference for Veterans, military families, youth, and our local community. Membership applications will be available for qualified candidates.
We are honored to welcome Mrs. Michelle Bird, Texas VFW District 6 Auxiliary Chief of Staff, who will share information about the Auxiliary and answer your membership questions.
Who may be eligible?
You must be at least 16 years old and be the spouse, widow/widower, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, or sibling of a person eligible for VFW membership. Step-, adopted, and half-family relationships in these categories also qualify. The qualifying Veteran may be living or deceased and does not have to be a current VFW member.
A qualifying Veteran is someone who received a campaign medal for overseas service, served 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive days in Korea, or received hostile-fire or imminent-danger pay. Please bring available proof of the Veteran’s qualifying service, such as a DD-214, if you plan to apply.
Bring an eligible family member or friend, ask your questions, and help build a strong Auxiliary for Post 12232 and the Gregory-Portland community.
