What’s Up Wednesday! 👷‍♂️🏫✨

Today we got a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the brand-new DeSoto County High School, and wow—this project is impressive!

We learned all about the school’s unique design, the extensive planning process behind this massive undertaking, and the exciting features coming for students starting the 2027–2028 school year.

This school was thoughtfully designed with student safety as a top priority, featuring a U-shaped layout that provides wide visibility throughout the campus and central courtyard. Beyond safety, the new campus will allow room for growth and advancement in curriculum, not just in core education, but also in arts, athletics, and skilled trades—giving students more opportunities to explore their interests and prepare for the future.

Great things are happening in DeSoto County, and this project is moving fast! We can’t wait to share another update in a few months when we return for a tour closer to completion.
