Driving Highway 101 through Humboldt County and there they are Roosevelt Elk just doing their thing like they own the place. Because they do.

Every single time I see them I slow down, roll the window down, and just soak it in. These are the largest elk in North America and they have called this coastal corner of the redwoods home long before any of us got here. 🌿 They can weigh up to 1,100 pounds and somehow still move like they're gliding. Absolutely majestic.

This is just a regular Tuesday commute in Humboldt County, people. 💛

Moments like this are exactly why I am so proud to call the Northern California coast home and why I love helping other people plant their roots here too. There is truly nowhere else like it. 🌲🌊

What an honor it was to be able to help a first time home buyer who is also a veteran 🇺🇸 get into their first home. This was not like every transaction and my buyer had to do work to the property in order to get the loan.

I make a point to get out camping with friends and family whenever I can — and I'll be honest, getting there is a struggle sometimes. 😅 Packing the gear, prepping the food, loading up the car... it's a whole process. 🎒🔥

But the second we're out there? A relaxation sets in that you just can't get at home. 🌲

☀️ A DAY IN THE LIFE: HUMBOLDT COUNTY REALTOR EDITION ☀️

Life moves a little differently here in Humboldt. 🌲

I used to swear I wanted to live in the city — big hustle, big energy, always on the go. But the truth is, I hustle just as hard right here in the 707. The difference? I get to do it with an incredible quality of life and an actual balance between work and living. 🙌

My days look a little like this: ☕ morning coffee while I check in on listings and clients, 📸 shooting a new property or filming content for the socials, 🚗 driving out to a showing with ocean views or towering redwoods as the backdrop (yes, that's just a Tuesday here 🌊🌲), 📝 paperwork and negotiations, 🤝 meeting with local vendors and lenders who feel more like family than business contacts, and somewhere in there, a walk on the beach, time in the garden, or dinner with my big, loud family. 💛

🎇 KEEPING GRANDMA JUDY'S TRADITION ALIVE 🎇

Every year around the 4th of July, my family comes together for a tradition my grandma Judy started years ago — and every single time, I'm reminded just how lucky I am to be surrounded by such amazing people. 💛

Family flies in from all over, and this coastal reunion always fills my cup. There's something so special about watching everyone fall in love with the coast the way I have — agate hunting on the beach 🪨, cheering on the surfers in the family 🏄‍♀️, wandering local markets, and dinners together every single night. The excitement (and the FOMO if you can't make it!) is so real. 😅

This year was no exception. Having everyone together on the coast meant the world. We're always missing a face or two who couldn't make it, but every year is good — every year is a gift. 🙏

We keep Grandma Judy's tradition alive, and it truly is one of the most amazing things we do as a family. Here are some of my favorite moments from this year's reunion — already looking forward to the next one. ❤️

If you haven't been to Madaket Plaza on a Thursday night this summer, you're missing out! The Eureka Summer Concert Series brings local and traveling bands to Madaket Plaza every Thursday from 6-8pm for ten weeks throughout the summer, and it's completely free and family-friendly. 🎸

This is exactly the kind of event that makes our 707 community so special. 💛 Grab a chair, grab a bite from one of the food trucks, and groove to the music with your neighbors, friends, and family. It's community at its best — good tunes, good food, good people, right in the heart of downtown Eureka.
