We’ve all been there. You get a lead for an open house or a private showing, and you’re excited to get out there. But then... the prospect gets weird when you ask for a photo of their ID or a pre-approval letter or them to sign a buyers agency agreement.

Here is the secret: You don’t have to make it personal. You don’t even have to make it about safety.

If a person is being evasive, stop the back-and-forth and say this:

"I’d love to get you into the property! My office policy requires a signed buyers agency agreement before I can schedule any private showings. As soon as you return the signed agreement, I’ll get the keys ready!"
