Time for some fall cleaning, Ark City! 🍁✨

Arkansas City's Community Clean Up Week is happening October 5–9. Whether you're decluttering the garage, swapping out old furniture, or getting your property looking its best, this is the perfect chance to clear out unwanted items curbside!

Here are the key details to keep in mind:

🗓 When: Your designated sanitation day during the week of October 5–9. Have items placed next to your poly cart by 6:00 AM.
⚠️ Eligibility: Active sanitation customers only. City crews will only empty official City of Arkansas City poly carts (other personal receptacles placed out will be collected and disposed of).

✅ Accepted Items:

Unwanted household items (bundled, boxed, or tied; under 50 lbs)

Indoor & outdoor furniture (couches, mattresses, dressers, etc.)

Appliances (washers/dryers, microwaves, TVs; limit one Freon-containing appliance per household)

Grills (no propane tanks)

Indoor/outdoor kids' toys

❌ Not Accepted:

Yard waste (leaves, brush, trimmings)

Construction materials, concrete blocks, rocks, or dirt

Tires, vehicle bodies, or mechanical parts

Electronic waste / computers

Sheet metal, iron, or wire

Paint and household chemicals

Note: Routes may take longer than usual, and crews will not make return visits. Let’s show our city workers some patience and appreciation!
