I have a question for all of Winston county. Arley, Alabama to be exact!
Why do we have to sit at tables where everyone can see how we Vote, whether it is local or national?
Is this not against the law? You sit at picnic tables across from other voters and other people can judge what you are voting for or who you are voting for. And comment on who you should or shouldn’t vote for. Your vote is your vote and you should not be pressured before or after who you vote for.
Even back in the early 1900 hundreds you had a both that you could stand in and mark your vote with out being judged.
Why do we not have that here?

For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of being a part of Senator Greg Reed’s Education Commission. I can honestly say that this has been the most powerful advocacy work I have ever had the privilege of being a part of.

Each year, he would listen, and really listen, to the educators across his district. And as the leader of the State Senate, he had the power to affect change based on that information. Out of these meetings, we have seen the growth in the foundation units (the number of teacher units given each school), increase in funding for nurses, and one of the most important and a very big topic of discussion, the increase in MENTAL HEALTH services for our schools. This is an issue that I have advocated for for many years locally and at the state level. And as your superintendent, I will continue to build these and be an advocate for our students!

Thank you to those that take the time to be involved as well as those that take the time to listen! That is how we affect change for our kids! They deserve it!
