My puppers and I decided to take a break at the dog park with my new rig.

Took a rare Sunday off work to go to the land. After being in traffic on I5 I arrive with Django in tow. He patiently waits in the truck why we have our very poignant moment of checking and community.
Then the sun comes through the clouds and we both got to experience why we go through the hassle of Sunday traffic. Big sky, the greenest fields and uninhibited play and fresh air. Reminds me I need to do this more often.

I decided it was as take your dog to work day. This is Django. We found each other through the Seattle Animal Shelter. I am told he is a Formosan Mountain Dog. He was brought here by another animal rescue group , and his adopter apparently only had him for about 1 month.
No doubt he has been through a lot in his short year of life. He freaks out in a crate, but does just fine hanging out in my vehicle by himself. BTW—I don’t enjoy dressing up animals, but he has very short fur, hence the fleece lined raincoat which awesome people at gave me for along with some canned food which this picky eater loved.
The notch in his ear indicates he was neutered, and if it wasn’t for this minor imperfection, he would be perfect! Yes, I’m in love with this handsome guy and looking forward to many years with this goofy sweetie.
Shelters are full right now with lots of other almost perfect dogs and cats. They end up there through no fault of their own. If you have the inclination, now is a great time to add a new family member to your home.

Docs orders to get my steps in each day. Today was Greenlake the ornamental plums are finally starting in, the redwing blackbird is marking her presence known by her song, migrating widgeons were brave enough to come close to shore, the bare birch trees were so beautiful in the sunshine. I have no patience for people that say they are bored 🥱 I dare you to find a more beautiful place in the spring than the Pacific Northwest. Even if we get back down to freezing tonight!

The weather this week is reminding me of my first visit to SunValley last month. Thanks to I had a fabulous few days. A college chum used to live in Ketchum and had often talked about the beauty of the area so I had always wanted to visit. 🗻We worked in the morning and played in the afternoon. This old skool skier wore a helmet for the first time and promptly rang my bell 🔔(luckily I heard the helmet crack instead of my skull) and got the wind knocked out of me. After that, I stuck to snow shoeing⛷️
