Fairlington Villages Residents,

Oktoberfest will be held next week on Friday, September 25! We will have pretzels, b**r, bratwursts, and the Lost Lederhosen band. The event takes place from 6 pm to 9 pm.

We are seeking volunteers for Oktoberfest! Volunteers should arrive at 5 pm. Please sign up for the event.

The volunteer positions for the event:

6- For set up before the event — set up tables, decorate, set up the serving table

2- Cooks— grilling brats on the gas grill

4- Servers and circulators during the event

6- Clean up after the event.

The Ward III Renovation Pruning and Planting project is currently underway. The first part of the project is the removal of the invasive shrubs and groundcover. The replacement plantings will happen within 30 days of the removals. Check the website if you want information regarding the renovation plan for your specific address.

The Management Office will be closed on Monday, September 7th in celebration of Labor Day. The office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

The Fairlington Historical Society donated to fund 34 Stumbling Stones to commemorate 34 individuals who were enslaved here in the 1700s and 1800s. A dedication ceremony, in conjunction with the Arlington Historical Society and the FCA, will take place at the Farmers Market Sunday Sep 27 at noon. We will gather on the sidewalk at 34th and Utah. Please stop by to witness this important event.

As we are nearing the end of summer, we just wanted to send out a reminder that Monday starts the school hours for the pools. The schedule is as follows:

Weekdays: 3pm-8pm
Weekends: 12pm-9pm
