He crossed the Atlantic to West Africa in 2019, then unpacked his paws in the U.S. in 2022—because staying in one place was never the plan. Meet our December pet of the month Waverly who started out shy but quickly turned into the life of the party! She’s playful, curious, and loves a good round of zoomies. Once she is done zipping around the apartment, she immediately wants belly rubs and snuggles. She loves to show off her emotional support (fake) mouse that she believes she hunted and captured. Waverly gives major main-character energy but is a very gentle soul!

Meet our November pet of the month, Pilgrim- On a very cold Thanksgiving day, he was walking along the road in his parents hometown and they spotted something in the corner of their eye. At first, they thought it was a rat, but as the little creature got closer, they realized it was a tiny, starving kitten. They picked up the little lady, who fit snugly in the palm of their hand. She pressed herself against their chest, grateful for the warmth, and began purring.

That was ten years ago, and given the holiday, they decided to name their new cat Pilgrim. She loves eating, pets, and—best of all—pets while eating! She managed to sprain her ankle, and now has a very dignified cast which lends her a bit of pirate bravado. Now every year on Thanksgiving, I give thanks for finding their wonderful Pil.

This is Leia, she is a very pretty princess. Her hobbies include sitting on toys like they are eggs, meowing at closed doors and making biscuits on soft blankets. She has no interest in treats but loves being brushed. Her favorite spots include the top of her tower, the bed when no one else is in it and anywhere with soft blankets.

Meet our May pet of the month - Toby is a 7 year old mixed-breed who was adopted in January. He is a perfect gentleman who loves to greet every human he meets. His favorite activities are curling up for a nap on the couch, following all the scents and squirrels in the neighborhood, and playing with his stuffed dinosaur toy.

This is Robin our March pet of the month. She is a model. She is 17.5 years old and a Libra. She rules her household. She loves cuddles and is always by her human’s side, whether on the couch or in bed. She has one white whisker that occasionally falls out and then grows back. She can be quite cranky to her newer siblings, but as long as they recognize she is the queen, she will glady cuddle with them.
She truly is a beautiful girl, and her human feels so lucky to have had her in her life for so long!

This is Barbra, our February Pet of the Month- named after Barbra Streisand. Barbra is a big fan of blueberries, carrots and dirty laundry. Her favorite hobbies are burrowing under blankets, licking the air for no reason, and finding ways to get onto the kitchen counter when we’re not home.
